Advocacy

One of my joys is being involved in advocacy groups designed to make life better for others. I am able to do this by being involved organizations with a much farther reach than I could obtain on my own.

Here are some groups I participate in:

Legislators

I take the time to meet with legislators that represent me and my district. I work with both Republican and Democratic office holders to ensure they understand my values, areas of concern and my willingness to support or stand up to their legislative priorities.

OPRA

OPRA (Ohio Provider Resource Association) advocates on behalf of providers supporting individuals with developmental disabilities striving to achieve a life of increasing independence, productivity and integration.

OACB

OACB (Ohio Association of County Boards) is an organization that provides advocacy, communications, professional development, and technical assistance to all 88 of Ohio’s county boards of developmental disabilities.

OACB DD Pac

“Building a strong, connected, inclusive Ohio where people have the opportunity to choose the life they want.” I support this organization to work with legislators in Ohio to support candidates that support individuals with developmental disabilities.
